Early in 2013 activists working with AE911Truth contacted the Canadian 9/11 Truth Movement regarding a new global campaign called ReThink911. The plan was bold, to raise several hundred thousand dollars to buy advertising to raise awareness about World Trade Center Building 7. This was the third building to collapse on 9/11, symmetrically, into its own footprint – in 6.5 seconds. A fact little mentioned in the mainstream media even to this day. The Canadian team recommended to the ReThink911 organizers that they add one more city to the campaign, Ottawa. The reasoning here was that Ottawa had special significance in this campaign as it was the capital of Canada. As it turned out, what was to be known as the “Battle of Ottawa”, the controversial struggle over the ReThink911ads which took place between the global 9/11 truth movement and besieged bureaucrats at the Ottawa Transit Authority, arose because of the surprise financial donation made by campaign supporter – John Duddy. John liked the idea of adding one more city to the campaign and put up the funds required to buy ReThink911 ads on 300 Ottawa City Transport Buses.

So who is this man?

John was born in the shadow of Derry Walls, in the Bogside, Northern Ireland, upstairs from his father’s butcher shop in 1939 at the outset of World War 11. His parents had a farm on both sides of the border; part of the farm was in neutral Irish Republic. The farm house was on the neutral Irish side of the border. They had no rationing, food shortages, coupons or black-outs. His father supplied cattle, sheep and pigs to feed hungry British during and after the war. His father died in 1949. John attended St. Columb’s College in Derry and got his first job in the butcher shop. They supplied the British Royal Navy and Allied ships; later he was employed by the US Navy in the commissary store from 1959 to 1971. He married Brigid in 1963; they raised three boys. (He’s since divorced and now married to Margaret; she has three daughters, he has three sons. They have five grand-children to date) He operated a pig raising enterprise from 1964 to 1975 while still working for USNAVCOMMSTA. US Naval Communications Station Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

He was elected Derry county chairman of the pig’s committee of the Ulster Farmer’s Union and attended meetings of farmers negotiating for entry into the EEC (European Economic Community). The Northern Ireland Electricity Board hired him as a “wayleave officer” to negotiate with farmers to pass over their land with electric lines in 1972. In 1975 he shut down the pig operation and moved his family, wife and three sons to Canada where he was employed as a landman in oil and gas, again buying rights of way from farmers.

Following a down-turn in the economy in 1986 he moved to the insurance industry where he sold insurance to farmers all over the Province of Alberta.

In August 2000 he was in a bike accident, breaking C3, C4 and C5 vertebrae in his neck and therefore now disabled. He is an incomplete quadriplegic. He appears normal although he has a spinal cord injury and falls over easily. He goes to Mexico to avoid walking on ice.

Having worked for US Navy from the Eisenhower to Nixon years, he remains interested in US political activities (SCADs). In regards to the US presidential election in 2000, he stated that
“he watched the 2000 election fraud knowing that the Supreme Court gave Bush the decision”
His son Mike called on September 11th, 2001.  “Turn on the TV”.  In June 2002 President Bush and the G8 met near Calgary; John’s friend put on the G6B Conference in the University of Calgary. He saw this as something “for the other six billion not included in the G8”.

John attended a large lecture with speakers Mike Ruppert and Michel Chossudovsky; he immediately became a 9/11 truther. He attended conferences in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, Washington DC, Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary and Victoria, British Columbia. His friend, a retired businessman gave John AirMiles plus several large cash donations to fly 9/ 11 truth speakers to   Canada from US and UK. His friend thought the ReThink9/11 ads were too weak; John realized the ads were as good as they could expect due to the many pressures and disagreements within the movement. The friend wanted ads in Edmonton and Calgary; someone contacted John to put ads in Montreal. Elizabeth Woodworth convinced him to pick Ottawa. Ted Walter (ReThink911) was in contact with him and John said “go ahead and put $10000 on my credit card”. At the time, Ted needed something else paid for and John graciously agreed to fund that as well. With exchange from Canadian to US funds and the extra money Ted needed, John’s credit card amount was now over $11000 Canadian. He talked to Ted after the transaction and assured him that he had no regrets. John said it was:
“The most significant thing I have done in my life, not counting raising 3 sons to be 9/11 truthers.”

Today, after seeing what his donation to ReThink911 did in Ottawa, and for the world, he sees this as having helped “tip the planet” and is quite proud of this achievement.  John invited the Canadian Prime Minister to send the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and intelligence officers to the Vancouver Truth Conference in June 2007; he spoke face-to-face with nine opposition party leaders over the years, this includes the last five leaders of the Liberal Party of Canada. He surface mailed all Canadian Provincial Premiers, Members of Parliament and Senators, sending them sworn testimony before an international court judge, documents signed by US Navy historian Barbara Honegger and former CIA asset Susan Lindauer; he continues to ask those politicians to demand a proper criminal investigation.
